Basketball Recap: Redmond Comes Up Short

On Tuesday, the Redmond Mustangs were within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 55-51 to the Arlington Eagles.

It was another big night for Leyton Martin, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 16 boards for Arlington. That makes it four consecutive games in which Martin has scored at least a third of Arlington's points. Another player making a difference was Jackson Trotter, who posted nine points.

Redmond has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 19-8 record this season. The victory was the eighth in a row for Arlington, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.

Redmond has already played their next game, a 62-51 loss against Lake Washington on the 20th. As for Arlington, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 70-64 defeat against Mount Si on the 20th.
