Softball Recap: Kenowa Hills Knights vs. Allendale Falcons        
        
		
            Kenowa Hills extended their losing streak  to five  on Thursday, dropping their season record down to 1-7 in the process. They came up short against  the Allendale Falcons, falling  26-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-1  on Thursday.

 Kenowa Hills saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Josie Ouellette, who  went 1-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double. Ouellette is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as she's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games she's  played. Another  was  Katherine Tudor, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
As for Allendale, they pushed their record up to 6-4 with the  win, which was their seventh straight  on the road dating back to last season. Considering they have won five matches by more than nine  runs this season, Thursday's  blowout was nothing new.
On Allendale's side,  Haven Slater was a  major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. Slater was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with one  triple and two  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  she has  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Tessa Gunter was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with four  runs and three  RBI.  Lexie Gunter was another key player,  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances with four  runs and three  RBI.
 Coming up, Kenowa Hills will head out on the road to  challenge  Lowell  at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Allendale, they will challenge Hopkins at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
