Pearl City and Dakota are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Wolves will challenge the Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Pearl City is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Orangeville by a score of 5-1.

Jorja Johnson was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Dakota put their dominant pitchers on display in the team's fourth consecutive shutout on Tuesday. They never let Galena get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted since May 8th.

Pearl City pushed their record up to 21-12 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Dakota, their win bumped their record up to 22-5.

Pearl City couldn't quite get it done against Dakota in their previous matchup back in April as they fell 3-0. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
