Football Recap: Oil City's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

After soaring to 36 points the game before, Oil City was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They lost 28-7 to the General McLane Lancers. The Oilers haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Despite the loss, Oil City still got an impressive performance from Steven Heise, who rushed for 117 yards and one score. Heise also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making nine total tackles and defending two passes.

While Oil City came up short, they sure didn't make it easy for General McLane: they limited their QB to completion percentage of just 40.9%. The team can thank Heise for the heroic effort on defense: he. Oil City wasn't nearly as limited: they posted one of 51.6%.

Oil City didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cole Findlay.

Having lost for the first time this season, Oil City fell to 2-1. As for General McLane, the victory made it two in a row for them and also bumps their season record up to 2-1.
