Softball Game Preview: Winnebago Indians vs. North Boone Vikings

Winnebago is 1-9 against North Boone since April of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Indians will host the Vikings at 4:30 p.m. Winnebago has given up an average of 7.3 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Winnebago came up short against Aurora Central Catholic on Saturday, falling 17-1. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, North Boone suffered their closest loss since March 28, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Belvidere by a score of 8-6. Vikings fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Bucs since on Saturday.

North Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Winnebago, they now have a losing record of 5-6.
