Basketball Recap: Green County Wins Going Away Against Cumberland County

Cumberland County typically has all the answers at home, but on Friday Green County proved too difficult a challenge. Everything went their way against the Cumberland County Panthers as they made off with a 91-67 win. The Dragons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 21 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Green County and bumps their season record up to 21-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.5 points over those games. As for Cumberland County, their loss dropped their record down to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Green County will take on Hart County at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Hart County will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Green County surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cumberland County, they will welcome Russell County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Russell County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 17 matchups.
