Recap: Bozeman Bucks vs. Holmes County Blue Devils
The Bozeman Bucks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against Holmes County by a score of 29-16. This was payback for Bozeman, who suffered a 12-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Bozeman was led to victory by Chance Jenkins and Peyton Gay. Jenkins gained 106 total yards and two touchdowns, while Gay threw for 207 yards and two touchdowns on only 17 passes.
Bozeman's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 10-0. It's not like the team was facing easy opposition over that stretch either, as it included 6-2 Chipley and 6-4 Port St. Joe (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 61.3% over those games). As for Holmes County, their loss ended a nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bozeman will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Rutherford at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Rutherford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 423rd, while Bozeman is ranked 200th). As for Holmes County, they will head out on the road to face off against Destin at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
