Soccer Recap: Asheville Christian Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Carolina Day last Thursday, Asheville Christian Academy came back down to earth. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rabun Gap-Nacoochee Eagles on Tuesday. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Asheville Christian Academy couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Abby Laws, who's now up to five this season.

Asheville Christian Academy now has a losing record of 4-5-1. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Asheville Christian Academy will square off against Gaston Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee, they will face off against Carolina Day at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
