Wasilla and Colony are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Warriors will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Wasilla is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.

Wasilla is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Alaska's top teams: Dimond, who was ranked tenth at the time (Wasilla was ranked fifth). The Warriors came out on top against the Lynx by a score of 7-3 on Friday. The game was the first time the Warriors have beaten the Lynx on their field since June 4, 2021.

Jacob Johnson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 4.1 innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Wasilla let Jimmy Lackey and Hunter Delcour run wild. Lackey went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Delcour went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Delcour has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bridger Berta, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Wasilla's victory bumped their record up to 14-4-1. As for Colony, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
