Basketball Game Preview: Greenacres Christian Panthers vs. Palm Beach Gardens Gators

Having just played yesterday, the Greenacres Christian Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Palm Beach Gardens Gators at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Greenacres Christian is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Thursday. They lost to Jupiter Christian on the road by a 74-59 margin.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brendan Daniels, who posted 18 points and six rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last five games he's played. Jashad Hymes was another key player, going 8 for 17 on his way to 16 points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Palm Beach Gardens hadn't done well against Palm Beach Lakes recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Palm Beach Gardens managed a 57-51 victory over Palm Beach Lakes. Given the Gators' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 193rd, while the Rams are ranked 409th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Palm Beach Gardens' win came from a few key players Greenacres Christian will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Christian Laurore, who put up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Enorck Vincent, who earned 12 points.

Greenacres Christian's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Palm Beach Gardens, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-7 record.
