Baseball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Madison's offense. They came up short against the Monmouth Academy Mustangs on Wednesday, falling 10-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Xavier Estes made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Madison suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Monmouth Academy, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Madison will face off against rival Spruce Mountain at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Monmouth Academy is set to take on their familiar foe Sacopee Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
