Volleyball Preview: Rantoul Eagles vs. Oakwood Comets
Rantoul and Oakwood are an even 4-4 against one another since September of 2016, but not for long. The Rantoul Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Oakwood Comets at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Rantoul has now lost ten straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since September 30.
Last Thursday, Rantoul came up short against Mattoon and fell 2-0.
While Rantoul was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-12.
Meanwhile, Oakwood earned a 2-0 win over Schlarman on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Comets.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-19.
Rantoul's loss dropped their record down to 9-18. As for Oakwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 9-16 record this season.
