Baseball Recap: Clarion-Limestone Falls to Oil City in First Game of Season

Clarion-Limestone unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 6-2 to the Oil City Oilers on Tuesday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Oilers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Clarion-Limestone saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Lutz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

The victory got Oil City back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Clarion-Limestone will be playing at home against Redbank Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Clarion-Limestone is facing Redbank Valley at the right time seeing as Redbank Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Oil City, they will venture away from home to face off against Lakeview at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
