Baseball Recap: Andover Central Takes a Loss

Andover Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Valley Center Hornets. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Jaguars have suffered against the Hornets since April 17, 2018.

Andover Central now has a losing record of 10-11-1. As for Valley Center, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-9.

Looking ahead, Andover Central will be playing at home against Dodge City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley Center, they will head out to square off against Haysville Campus on Friday. The Colts' pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so the Hornets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
