Soccer Recap: Salem Comes Up Short

Salem managed to keep up with Henryville until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Lions lost 4-1 to the Hornets. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Salem of the 8-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Salem and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Henryville, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salem will host Corydon Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Henryville, they will challenge Scottsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
