Baseball Recap: Somerton Comes Up Short

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Somerton's offense. They came up short against the Kofa Kings on Wednesday, falling 11-0. The Toros just can't catch a break and have now endured six defeats in a row.

Somerton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Roldan, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Somerton's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Kofa, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

Coming up, Somerton will head out on the road to take on Odyssey Institute at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Toros' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Minotaur have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Kofa, they will host Chandler at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolves' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Kings' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
