Basketball Recap: Fort Lauderdale Takes a Loss

If Fort Lauderdale was feeling good fresh off their 45-9 takedown of Cooper City back in December of 2024, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Fort Lauderdale Flying L's took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deerfield Beach Bucks on Monday. The Flying L's haven't had much luck with the Bucks recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Fort Lauderdale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Deerfield Beach, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Lauderdale will take on Everglades at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Deerfield Beach, they will challenge Cooper City at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
