Soccer Game Preview: Lisle vs. Chicago Hope Academy

The Lisle Lions are taking a road trip to challenge Chicago Hope Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lisle has three straight victories, Chicago Hope Academy has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the pitch.

Lisle is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Everything went their way against Reed-Custer on Tuesday as they made off with a 10-2 win. Lisle might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six goals or more this season.

Meanwhile, Chicago Hope Academy lost 9-1 to Wheaton Academy on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Chicago Hope Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 318th, while Wheaton Academy is ranked 22nd).

Lisle's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Chicago Hope Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10-1.

Lisle beat Chicago Hope Academy 2-0 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Lions since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
