Goreville barely beat Vienna the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blackcats were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Eagles on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Blackcats, who have now won 11 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Goreville has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Vienna, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.

Looking ahead, Vienna will challenge Anna-Jonesboro at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Goreville will be paying especially close attention to the Eagles' contest: after the Eagles face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on Goreville again at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
