Northeast Lauderdale came tearing into Saturday's match with three straight wins and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 53-46 win over the Forest Hill Patriots. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 47th, while the Patriots are ranked 175th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northeast Lauderdale has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. As for Forest Hill, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.

Northeast Lauderdale and Kemper County will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Forest Hill, they will venture away from home to square off against Canton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
