Soccer Game Preview: Sussex Central vs. Franklin

The Sussex Central Tigers are taking a road trip to challenge the Franklin Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Sussex Central's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

It was a proper cat-fight when Sussex Central faced off against Surry County on Wednesday. The Tigers came up short against the Cougars, falling 10-0. That's two games in a row now that Sussex Central have lost by exactly ten goals.

Meanwhile, Franklin's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They blew past Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech 4-1. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Franklin's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Osman Munoz and Benjamin Harrison scored all four of Franklin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 16 goals.

Sussex Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Franklin, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
