Baseball Recap: Schoolhouse Prep Gets the Win

The Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack beat the Coral Park Rams 8-4 on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolfpack.

Victor Bosquez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 11 Ks. He is becoming a predictor of Schoolhouse Prep's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 4-2 (and 5-6 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Schoolhouse Prep got a big performance out of Rene Dun, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. Those three hits gave Dun a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jose Uzcategui, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Dun wasn't the only one making solid contact: Schoolhouse Prep kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Wolfpack are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Schoolhouse Prep now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Coral Park, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.

Schoolhouse Prep didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 1-0 win against ABF Academy on the 2nd. As for Coral Park, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-2 defeat against Immaculata-La Salle on the 3rd.
