Martin has gone 9-1 against Lamar recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Martin Warriors will venture away from home to face off against the Lamar Vikings at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Martin is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Arlington just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to the Colts 53-49. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Warriors came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 158th, while the Colts are ranked 551st).

Meanwhile, Lamar lost to Grand Prairie at home by a 62-48 margin on Friday. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Gophers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Martin's loss dropped their record down to 16-12. As for Lamar, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.

Martin was able to grind out a solid win over Lamar in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, winning 42-29. The rematch might be a little tougher for Martin since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
