The Ravenna Ravens will face off against the Struthers Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Ravenna took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Springfield.

Connor Welling made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those 13 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last ten games he's played.
In other batting news, Logan Hysell was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season.
Ravenna was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Springfield only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, Struthers had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They never let the Red Dragons get on the board and left with a 10-0 win.
The result came thanks to Drew Chizmar's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Travis McMurray, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Bradley, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Struthers' victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Ravenna, their win bumped their record up to 3-12.
