Penn waltzed into their contest on Thursday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They blew past the South Bend Adams Eagles 15-1. The result was nothing new for the Kingsmen, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Penn got a great performance from Caitlyn Denny as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Denny has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Ava Zachary was incredible, going 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Shannon Rudge was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Penn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in three consecutive games.

Penn's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for South Bend Adams, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.

Penn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-3 win against Elkhart on the 6th. As for South Bend Adams, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-4 loss against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger on the 3rd.
