Softball Recap: Del Valle Has No Trouble Against Akins

Del Valle won the last time they faced Akins and things went their way on Tuesday too. Del Valle blew past Akins 10-1. Considering the Cardinals have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Del Valle's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-4-1. As for Akins, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.

Coming up, Del Valle will welcome Austin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Austin has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.5 runs per game on average), something Del Valle will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Akins, they are taking a road trip to take on Dripping Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Akins' pitchers better be ready for this one: Dripping Springs has averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
