Football Recap: Skyline Takes a Loss

The Skyline Coyotes had to suffer through a 52-14 loss at the hands of the Arizona College Prep Knights. The Coyotes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Skyline still got an impressive performance from Caleb Wheeler, who rushed for 101 yards and one score.

Arizona College Prep's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Evan Heinrich, who threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes. What's more, Heinrich racked up 169.5 passer rating, the most he's had since back in October of 2024. Max Sasso helped Heinrich out on the ground, rushing for 92 yards and one TD on only 12 carries.

Skyline now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Arizona College Prep, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Skyline didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 48-8 loss against Campo Verde on the 17th. As for Arizona College Prep, they have also already played their next game, a 35-14 defeat against ALA - Gilbert North on the 17th.
