Haynes came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' soccer rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 18th in District of Columbia, while Don Bosco Cristo Rey is ranked 60th in Maryland).

St. Anselm's Abbey's victory bumped their record up to 6-8-2. As for E.L. Haynes, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-7-1 record this season.
