Football Recap: Freedom Comes Up Short on the Road Against Osbourn Park + How To Watch

Freedom had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were outmatched by the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets and fell 40-0. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Yellowjackets apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2017.

Yussif Kassim threw for 93 yards on seven of 13 attempts. Joel Leak was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards. On the ground, Dallas Jackson rushed for 34 yards.

Osbourn Park's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmad Bah, who rushed for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Those 102 rushing yards gave Bah a new career-high. Aaryan Patel was another key passer, throwing for 164 yards and a pair of TDs.

Freedom and Osbourn Park should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Virginia Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 85th) will meet Annandale (ranked 299th) at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th. Meanwhile, Osbourn Park will face off against Hylton at 7:00 p.m. on the 5th with a big rank advantage (84 vs. 244).
