Soccer Recap: Novato Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Novato, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Branson Bulls 1-0. For the Hornets, this counts as revenge for the 4-2 victory the Bulls walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Novato's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-7-1. As for Branson, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-6-4.

Novato is taking a road trip to square off against Marin Catholic at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Novato's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. Branson has already played their next matchup (against Cloverdale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
