Basketball Recap: Jayden Harris Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Thomas Academy

The matchup between Falcon Christian Academy and Thomas Academy on Wednesday hardly resembled the 43-19 effort from their previous meeting. The Warriors took down the Eagles 68-53. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Falcon Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Harris, who posted 23 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. Another player making a difference was Tyree Wright, who earned 17 points along with seven steals and five assists.

Falcon Christian Academy's record now sits at 2-0. As for Thomas Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Falcon Christian Academy is headed away from home for the first time to face off against Father Capodanno at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Warriors' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Thomas Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lab University Christian Academy Varsity at 5:30 p.m. on the 16th.
