Basketball Recap: Soroco Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Alyvia Cox and Kolbie Pierce

If Soroco was feeling good fresh off their 41-18 takedown of Telluride last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Soroco Rams took a 30-25 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Crested Butte Titans.

Soroco's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kolbie Pierce, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards, and Alyvia Cox, who posted 11 points. Those 11 points gave Cox a new career-high.

Molly Miller went supernova for Crested Butte, putting up 21 points.

Soroco now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Crested Butte, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Soroco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 59-15 loss against Nucla on the 14th. As for Crested Butte, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 33-28 win against Vail Christian on the 14th.
