Baseball Game Preview: Snyder Tigers vs. Dickinson Rams

For the second straight game, Snyder will face off against Dickinson. The Tigers are taking a road trip to face off against the Rams at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Snyder is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Snyder couldn't beat Dickinson on Monday even though they stacked four runs on them in the fifth inning. The Tigers lost 14-6 to the Rams.

For Dickinson's part, Carlos Perez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single hit while striking out nine over 4.1 innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave Perez a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Dickinson let Jose Hernandez and Ziggy Puchowski run wild. Hernandez went 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple, while Puchowski got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Hernandez has become a key player for Dickinson: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Miguel Vellejo, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

Dickinson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Snyder's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Dickinson, they moved to 4-12 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.
