Soccer Recap: Southern Gets the Win + How To Watch

Southern's game on Monday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Huntingtown Hurricanes. Southern have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Huntingtown, too.

Joshua Howell was the driving force of Southern's attack as he scored both of Southern's goals, bringing his season total up to four goals.

Southern has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Huntingtown, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Southern will head out to take on Meade at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Huntingtown, they will venture away from home to square off against Patuxent at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
