Soccer Game Preview: Union vs. Evergreen

The Union Titans will head out to take on the Evergreen Plainsmen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Union is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Washington's top teams: Olympia, who was ranked 18th at the time (Union was ranked 19th). The Titans fell just short of the Bears by a score of 2-1 last Friday. The loss was Union's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Evergreen came up short against Heritage last Friday and fell 3-1. Evergreen have struggled against Heritage recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Evergreen now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Union, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-1-1.

Union took their win against Evergreen when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
