Basketball Recap: Bloomburg Takes a Loss

After flying high against Avinger last Tuesday, Bloomburg came back down to earth. The Bloomburg Wildcats took a 45-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Avery Bulldogs. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 50-31 back in January.

Bloomburg has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Avery, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-12.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bloomburg has already played their next contest (against Sulphur Bluff), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Avery will challenge Union Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
