Recap: Palmetto Panthers vs. Hialeah Thoroughbreds
The Palmetto Panthers can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 93-70 margin over Hialeah. Given Palmetto's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 117th, while Hialeah is ranked 336th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Palmetto to victory were Samfree Sarante and Santiago Henriquez. Sarante went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 1 assist, while Henriquez dropped a double-double on 21 points and 13 assists. Henriquez hasn't dropped below 15points for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Joshua Lipson, who scored 13 points along with six assists.
Palmetto has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Hialeah, they dropped their record down to 8-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Palmetto will take on Dr. Krop at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hialeah, they will head out on the road to take on Mourning at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mourning is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
