Baseball Game Preview: Nevis Tigers vs. Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves

The Nevis Tigers will head out to take on the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Nevis will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Nevis' pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Northome/Kelliher as they made off with a 7-0 win.

Meanwhile, Walker-Hackensack-Akeley won against Mahnomen/Waubun on Tuesday with seven runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. The Wolves walked away with a 7-4 victory over Blackduck.

The win got Nevis back to even at 5-5. As for Walker-Hackensack-Akeley, their victory bumped their record up to 4-2.

Nevis came out on top in a nail-biter against Walker-Hackensack-Akeley in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
