Basketball Recap: Fostoria Redmen vs. Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains
Fostoria was the 48-44 winner over Hopewell-Loudon when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Fostoria Redmen fell 50-38 to the Hopewell-Loudon Chieftains on Saturday. The Redmen have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Defeat or not, Fostoria got some senior leadership from Lyrique Johnson and Alycia Middlebrooks. Johnson dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds, while Middlebrooks posted ten points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Middlebrooks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Johnson, who had three points and seven rebounds.
Even though they lost, Fostoria smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Fostoria's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Hopewell-Loudon, they moved to 2-7 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
