Noah Johns was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Sheridan Hills Christian's success: when he allows at most two hits the team is 2-1 (and 1-4 when he doesn't). Johns was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Alonzo Castro was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. He has become a key player for Sheridan Hills Christian: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Shiloh Yap, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Meanwhile, Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 15-3 to Atlantic Christian.
Berean Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Oliver Coronado, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Coronado is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.
Berean Christian's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Sheridan Hills Christian, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 3-5.
Berean Christian's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Sheridan Hills Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .429. It's a different story for Berean Christian, though, as they've only averaged .254. Will they be able to contain Sheridan Hills Christian's hitters?
