Football Game Preview: Pontotoc Warriors vs. West Point Green Wave + Official Tickets

For the first time this season, Pontotoc will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the West Point Green Wave at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pontotoc has given up an average of 27.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Pontotoc took a blow against Shannon, falling 65-29. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pontotoc might have lost, but man, Courtland Pass was a machine: he rushed for 129 yards and two TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Markavion Jones helped out on the ground, rushing for 101 yards.

Meanwhile, West Point put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past Callaway to the tune of 42-0. The Green Wave's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

West Point found their leader in sophomore Kingston Branham, who threw for 120 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Pontotoc's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for West Point, their win bumped their record up to 5-0.

Pontotoc suffered a grim 34-14 defeat to West Point in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
