Basketball Recap: Greenville Takes a Loss

Greenville lost against Lowell back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Greenville Yellow Jackets took a 50-36 bruising from the Lowell Red Arrows. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Yellow Jackets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Red Arrows are ranked 244th).

Greenville's loss dropped their record down to 14-5. As for Lowell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Greenville will welcome Sparta at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Greenville is facing Sparta at the right time seeing as Sparta is stuck on a 17-game losing streak. As for Lowell, they will be playing at home against Coopersville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
