The Green Bay Preble Hornets will head out on the road to take on the Bay Port Pirates at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Green Bay Preble will be strutting in after a victory while Bay Port will be coming in after a loss.
While Green Bay Preble didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Sheboygan North by a score of 6-3 on Monday.

Peyton Kuehn made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 13 batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
In other pitching news, Dallas Rady looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, the team relied heavily on David Petasek, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Bay Port came up short against Pulaski on Monday and fell 5-2. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bay Port saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Hawley, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Drew LeClaire also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Bay Port's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Green Bay Preble, their record now sits at 9-3.
Green Bay Preble skirted past Bay Port 6-5 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hornets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
