Volleyball Game Preview: Canyon Crest Academy Ravens vs. Mission Vista

The Canyon Crest Academy Ravens will head out on the road to take on Mission Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Canyon Crest Academy comes in on 32 and Mission Vista on four.

Canyon Crest Academy will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Sage Creek, who they had gone 0-4 against in their four prior meetings. The Ravens put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 3-0 win on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-16, 25-21.

Mission Vista had won two straight home games and Elmer Catapang did his part to make it three on Tuesday. Mission Vista put the hurt on San Dieguito Academy with a sharp 3-0 victory with plenty of help from Catapang, who had 17 digs and one assist. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 10.8 digs per game.

Mission Vista never let San Dieguito Academy on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-19, 27-25.

Canyon Crest Academy's win bumped their record up to 32-0. As for Mission Vista, they now have a winning record of 12-11.

Everything went Canyon Crest Academy's way against Mission Vista in their previous matchup back in March, as Canyon Crest Academy made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ravens since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
