Basketball Game Preview: Seaside Spartans vs. Oakwood Hawks + How To Watch

Seaside hasn't had much luck against Oakwood recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Spartans will host the Hawks at 7:00 p.m.

Seaside is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Live Oak on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Spartans were dealt a 61-34 loss at the hands of the Acorns. The Spartans were down 51-22 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Oakwood was able to grind out a solid win over MacDonald on Friday, taking the game 57-48. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Oakwood's win came from a few key players Seaside will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Bryce Smith-Keeney, who posted 15 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Those five rebounds gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Carlson, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Seaside's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Oakwood, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
