Volleyball Preview: Jourdanton Indians/Squaws vs. Lytle Pirates
Jourdanton has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will head out to take on the Lytle Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lytle took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Jourdanton, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Jourdanton made easy work of Natalia and carried off a 3-0 win.
Jourdanton never let Natalia on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11, 25-23.
Meanwhile, Lytle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell just short of Natalia by a score of 3-2.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Lytle sadly wound up on the wrong side. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 20-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-13.
Jourdanton pushed their record up to 21-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. As for Lytle, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-18.
