After two games on the road, Gretna East is heading back home. They will welcome the Plattsmouth Blue Devils on Friday. Both are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.

Gretna East is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They claimed a resounding 61-0 victory over Standing Bear on the road. The win was some much needed relief for the Griffins as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Seth Kraegel was a one-man wrecking crew for Gretna East as he picked up 136 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Gretna East was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 252 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September of 2023.

Walker rushed for 180 yards and two touchdowns while Vanwinkle rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. With that strong performance, Walker is now averaging an impressive 105.5 rushing yards per game. Henry Loontjer got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Gretna East's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Plattsmouth, the win got them back to even at 2-2.
