Preview: Wellington School Jaguars vs. KIPP Columbus Jaguars
The Wellington School Jaguars will be playing at home against the KIPP Columbus Jaguars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
Last Tuesday, Wellington School came up short against Fisher Catholic and fell 55-43. Wellington School has struggled against Fisher Catholic recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Wellington School had strong showings from Malcolm Wade, who scored 23 points along with three steals, and Skyler Nicholson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wade has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Blake Lewis, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, KIPP Columbus also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Patriot Prep Academy by a score of 66-53.
Wellington School's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for KIPP Columbus, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.
