Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sparks). Everything went their way against the Wooster Colts on Saturday as they made off with a 24-5 victory. The win continues a trend for the Railroaders in their matchups with the Colts: they've now won eight in a row.

Deanna Henderson was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, four stolen bases, and four runs while going 4-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played.
In other batting news, Sparks got a massive performance out of Bailey Hunden, who scored four runs and stole six bases while going 3-for-3. What's more, Hunden posted two doubles, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Maria Sanchez Aguilar, who scored three runs and stole seven bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Sparks' record now sits at 4-6. As for Wooster, their loss was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13.
