Sherman had won seven straight home games dating back to last season and Levi Sprouse did his part to make it eight on Friday. The Tide claimed a resounding 45-0 win over the Pocahontas County Warriors for which the team can thank Sprouse, who rushed for 155 yards and two scores on only six carries, and also picked up 31 receiving yards. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 77-yard run.

Sherman now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Pocahontas County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sherman will head out to square off against River View at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pocahontas County, they will venture away from home to face off against Greenbrier West at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
